discuss soem of your favorite 80's movies, made in the 80's or about the 80's. better have some 80's fab ness in the post please.
me i loved breakfast club. just a fab stereotype movie.
16 candles made me laugh, i am a sucker for the sappy romantic comedies, probably because i have very little romance in my life.
on the slightly darker humour side..
pump up the volume was a great movie about being yourself. besides he called himself harry hardon...
heathers. i totally identified with veronica and the her relationship to the popular girls. great dialogue.

Breakfast club.....that was the one about these kids all in detention together for a day wasn't it?
If so then I remember enjoying watching it.
My favourite 80's film that springs immediately to mind is Aliens but argh!!! there are so many.
(I'm a bit of a film buff)
Caddyshack. That movie is still funny.
Evil Dead. I have to put it in there.
NeverEnding Story. My favorite movie growing up.
Howard the Duck. This movie was so underrated.
There is a couple of my 80'2 movies. God there really are too many.

mmm empire strikes back, in my opinion the best of the star wars movies.
raiders of the lost ark. adventure, love, power of god, what more can you ask from a movie.
witness. the scene of them dancing in the garage is quite possibily one of the most romantic bits. i remember when i first saw the film thinking, i want a boy to dance with me like that.
oh my, i have a slight harrison ford obsession.
Is Calafornia Man an eighties movies. If it is this is the best movie of all time.

Yep that was made in the 80s, and I think hold the record for longest gap between sequels.
A little bit darker that the Wizard of Oz, possibly because Dorothy was played by professional Goth Fairuza Balk.
And California Man was NOT an 80s movie because it had Pauly Shore in it, and therefore does not rank as the best film of all time.
Since we seem to be mentioning a lot of fantasy movies dont forget Krull which used to scare the pant of me.

And let me say this, too. Everyone, it's 80s, not 80's. I know it looks wrong, and 99% of the places you look will have the apostrophe in it, but it's WRONG I tell you. I just took a class in college last semester, with a brand new 2003 grammar book, and it says plainly in there DO NOT USE AN APOSTROPHE. I just wanted to let you know so you would... I don't know... be in the know I guess.
Pinkerbell's right. And not just about decades! It is only ever correct to use an apostrophe in place of a missing letter.
IE
It's nice to eat ice cream = correct
the robot moved it's arm = incorrect
English was my best subject as school
