What does everyone think bout Angel being cancelled? I think WB made a big mistake and i sure hope they reconsider cancelling it

I doubt they would reconsider, but they have not ruled out the possibilty of TV movies next year, so fingers crossed.
I hope they do a spin-off series, I think the Spike character deserves a show of his own.

Yes, yes he does
Angel was never as good as Buffy in my opinion, i dont know why they cancelled it though, i know lots of people who loved it
I also want to know what happened to the giles series they were planning to do. has that ended up on the abandoned pile too? it couldve been great
I havent seen much of the last two series, but from what i have heard about some of the plotlines (IE-Angel gets turned into a muppet :S ) then they were obviously running out of ideas.

I hadn't watched Angel in years until I was talked into watching the puppet episode. It was entertaining.

Never!!!! I think Angel is much better then buffy, although the recent series has been kinda poo. It's more grown up....and i'm not sure bout the Giles series, i think it was meant to be set in England and was gonna be called 'Ripper' also they were thinkin of doin a Faith spinoff but that never took off

perhaps its just that angel could never fulfil my desire for spike & my love for giles :)

Whoa, when did angel get canelled.
I'm still getting it over here (uk) and the mag said they got the full season.
Did they cancel the rest of season 5 in america??
The Season will be completed and then be cancelled. Stupid WB. I think the worst thing about it is that the are going to put a remake of Dark Shadows in its place. Yeah that is not going to work. Just as long as they bring back Faith for one more episode:)

poop. i was looking forward to a season 6 of angel. i heard talks that they had already confirmed it. :(
oh well. twas a good show. i know they're bringing a few buffy regulars onto the show, only guest appearances though.
kinda pap that smg didn't do all the bits she was going to.
I think Angel is a bit better than Buffy.
Its a bit more darker and a little more amusing, although I still don't get why everyone likes the Spike character?

bbbut spike's beautiful...that first sex scene between him & buffy ( i think the episode was called smashed) was some h.o.t. tv
its probably because spike had the whole evil thing going on, i thought angel was much sexier when he lost his soul

I've always liked the Angel series better than Buffy.
Buffy always was "lighter" and I found the Angel storyline more fun...
Also the last season is very good I think.
The Puppet episode was not a "we don't have any good ideas" episode imo, but more a "let's see if we can pull this off" episode...
And they did, brilliantly.
It's quite brilliant to be able to make your MAIN character a puppet one episode long and get away with it...
looking forward to the tv-movies...
They must complete the storyline!!

That is a shame. Although I never enjoyed the Angel series as much as Buffy, I've just seen the beginning of the latest series, and it looked as if it did have the makings of something truly great.
Maybe the viewing figures have dropped since Buffy ended and WB have decided Angel isn't pulling its weight. In any case, I've not watched Angel for a while, and I found the new series really easy to get into. Damn it, why is it always the really good shows that get cancelled?
