The way I see it.. if we feed the starving Ethiopians, Mexicans, and so on.. then who will starve for all those hunger relief funds across the globe? So many jobs would be lost, the economy would flop, we couldn't make fun of that funny-looking bloated tummy starved people have.

Feeding people won't lead to the Apocalypse, it'll lead to there being 6.5billion+ people eating the planet at maximum.

Wasn't this planet supposed to only be able to support 2 or 3 billion people anyway? Going off total resources at the beginning and dividing this by resources consumed by one Westerner which gives maximum number of Westerners that can live on the planet and consume said resources at the rate they do = 2 or 3 billion. I like how we're automatically kicking everyone who isn't a Westerner (e.g. more than half the total population) off the planet and creating new Westerners.

Agriculturally, the world already produces enough food to sustain the current population very well. The problem is distribution as the West makes billions of tonnes of grain whilst the shittier places on earth make diddly squat. The UN predicts that if modern agricultural practices were used world wide the Earth could sustain 20 billion +, and thats assuming we don't invent even better farming techniques. In terms of other resources the problem is efficiency, namely that westerners use oil and gas to do useless things like leave aircon on in empty buildings and drive 1 mile down the street when we could walk. Everyone on Earth could easily live a western lifestyle if a western lifestyle didn't needlessly waste so much energy.
