ok normally I think weebl's stuff is fantastic but recently I've found something that has really annoyed me.
it's to do with the new peoples stuff and the width limits
now I worked my butt off to create this game
random-flash.co.uk/speedball4.php
now I come to upload it to the peepls's stuff but it's too wide
now the standard width for a flash is 550
my game's width is just 700
thats a difference of just 150
so I think that the width limits should be reconsidered

Or you could just, y'know, edit the width of your game?

Can't be that hard, surely.

the idea of the game was that you stay away from the walls
I tried editing the width but I ended up with a load of glitches

it's actually pretty difficult to change the dimensions of a flash game/animation once you've made it

but still, how about asking nicely rather than acting like a baby and throwing a strop, randomator?

Oh, if that's the case, then fair enough.

What Midget said, then.

I'm not trying to throw a strop I just thought it'd be a nice debate s'all

I can't see this happening. As you say:
"the standard width for a flash is 550
my game's width is just 700"
That's OK, most likely correct but I'm not going to check. But you missed two points out:

8% of internet users have a monitor width of 600 pixels (800x600). They would have to constantly scroll their screen to play your game.
48% of internet users only have a monitor width of 768 (1024x768). Weebls-stuff has stuff (Adverts, div padding, borders) to the sides of the animation totalling 335 pixels wide (on my screen atleast.) Again, those people have to scroll to play your game.

You should take monitor sizes into count when making flash animations and games.

so you want the whole site to be catered for your game? Don't be a dick, son.

Don't be too harsh on him, I'm sure it's a good game.

Edit it as quick as you can and let us know when it's up. :)

You have your dimensions the wrong way round. It's width x height. 800x600 is 800px wide, 1024x768 is 1024px wide.

So it should work ok if he turns his monitor on its side?

Whoops. I've never been the best at resolutions (or anything coordinate based).
My points still stand though, if a little weaker than before. In both resolutions the users would not be able to get the entire site into view with it being 1035 (700+335) pixels wide; Weebl would have less people seeing adverts so it' wouldn't be a very wise move for him to make.

Well to be honest, if you wanna solve this issue you ought to just talk with those who could actually do anything about it, rather than ask us.
