Did anyone see that Simple Life programme on last night?
i think its been on for a while on channel 4 on sunday mornings. its about 'party girls' Paris Hilton & Nicole Ritchie (Lionel 'Hello' - possibly the best video ever made - Ritchie's daughter) giving up the high life & living on a farm for a month. it scares me that people can be that ignorant & lead such lives that theyre completely out of touch with reality. they just mess around when theyre meant to work & then someone who isnt just 'slumming it' for a month has to sort everything out after them.
im not sure why i watched the whole 1/2 hour, but it did leave me with some brilliant quotes, such as;
i would rather live without food for 6 weeks than without a cellphone
or
wal mart? is that something to do with buying stuff for walls
can anyone think of a worse example of television?!

i agree completely, & the other ones no better. it doesnt make sense to me to think everyone's beneath you because your parents are rich & therefore you dont have to lead a normal life
im thinking i wont be watching it again
She seems like the Amercian jordan.Has she ever actually done anything noteable other than That tape
And the program was unwatchable..ten minutes of two ritch girls blowing money on useless crap is enough for anyone to switch over.

I REALLY hate her. Rich bitch.
...home videos...
*ahem*
I saw one episode where the party girls went out on the town with the locals and ending up covering a pool table in puke.
Nice one Paris.
I think the shows great as it reinforces my bigotted perceptions of people.

heh...like the countryfolk boiling the cockrel & the pigs feet on the shopping list!
My father loved that show, (note I hated it) he would sit on the couch for half an hour and giggle.
He thought it was great, I think it was possibly because he thought that they were pretty, and that it made him feel better about being who he is?
I dunno, frankly it was a waste of time, but maybe for him it was a positive waste of time, I dunno, I don't work eight hour days
the show is in arkansas!
i am in arkansas!
paris is a slut!
i am arkansas!

possibly the most priceless thing i have ever heard on tv... and the looks on the family's faces are classic. I have to admit i've seen most of the series.. purely out of morbid curiosity, to see just how stupid these girls can be, its cack but i just cant help watching it.

or when she thought chicken of the sea was actually chicken. how stupid can you get?
As for the simple life, I watched one episode and was sickened by how pampered and bitchy those two are. I have absolutely NO respect for anyone who hasnt worked one day in their life. and that wal mart line was just freakin retarded.

I saw them trying to fill milk bottles, pouring loads on the floor and then pouring water in the bottles to make it look like they'd been filled to the top....I turned over after that
