If this is your first time at Fight Club, you have to fight.
I've read the book and seen the film, twice in each case, and thought they were fantastic.
Which was better? The book or the film? How obvious were the homoerotic undertones?

I dont think the Homoerotic thing was that obvious in the film but, yeh it was there alrite. didnt spoil the film though. Might be more obviuos in the book.

Now there's a film I bloody well love.
Only seen the film unfortunetly, found it very eductational at the time, if you know what I mean (probably dont, seeing as how I havent explained myself but oh well)
Cant say I "noticed" the homosexual undertones though? Part of the film afterall.
Not read the book unfortunetly, id imagine the books better, usually works out that way, what with the element of imagination and all.

I've read book and seen film and must say that I didn't pick up on, or can't remember the homoerotic elements which may have been present what were they?

In the book, there's the whole 'love triangle' thing (Marla, Narrator, Tyler) which isn't presented in the film. 'I want Tyler', says the narrator; and then there's all the description of big beefy men in the Club. In the film, one of the scenes in the kitchen where Tyler's going off to work, the narrator is wearing a dressing gown; he dusts off Tyler's uniform and straightens his bow tie, like a stereotype housewife would. I thought it was funny, anyway :)

Well i'm glad other people noticed the homoerotic nature of much of the film...can't speak for the book but was starting to ask myself serious questions....
I just watched the movie 5 minutes ago.
Fucking ace.

I just found out Chuck Palahniuk is gay. This makes me smack my forehead and say, 'I knew it!'.
