AntiVir XP 08 Help

This is a cry for help.

My computer recently got infected with the AntiVir XP08 virus and I can't get rid of it. It's a real bastard and has even locked me out of task manager. Does anyone have experience with this virus because it looks like I'll have to wipe my hard rive to get rid of it.
