(I wrote it myself without using a translator but i think I've done it right)

edit: I've noticed a couple of mistakes, I'll fix them now.

edit mkII: I think I've fixed all the mistakes now.

Um you just translated it on the computer cos the word stop means full stop

WelshTerminator
17-07-2008, 05:31 PM
Actually I did write the word stop in binary because I don't know how to represent a "."

There shouldn't be any spaces!

WelshTerminator
17-07-2008, 07:43 PM
I had the spaces between the words to help me remember what I had written lol. I'm not sure how I managed to get a space in the middle of the word first though.

The Matrix? Was my thought, exactly.

I see no Neo, though...

Pfft, I think everyone's just thrown mine into a hex converter, realised it isn't hex and ignored it :p.

Nope, I was about to put it into a hex converter, then read your post, realised it wasn't hex and so didn't bother. :p

WelshTerminator

so who wins?

hicks was the first to get it so he wins.

I just ignored it to be honest (as i always normally skate around the subject, mostly i plain lie) lol. I'll look at it now.

edit: I have come to the conclusion that it is complete gibberish :D

WelshTerminator
18-07-2008, 03:39 PM
Is the full stop at the end a part of it?

Oh, and give us a clue please.

Timmeh
18-07-2008, 03:49 PM
I added the full stop myself, it's not a part of it. A clue is... even if I told you the method you likely wouldn't be able to get it (I think I just made it too easy).

A one-time-pad-based code like what they used in the Cold War?

Timmeh
18-07-2008, 04:09 PM
Nope. It's something that a fair few people on this forum will be familiar with, even if they don't recognise it (although I'm sure a few of those would recognise it instantly).

My secret shame: I had a brute-force cracker running for the best part of two hours trying to crack it

Did not work

Timmeh

It's about 15 characters long pre-encryption, so it'd take a whole lot of time, luck or computers (probably mostly time)
