I went to the beach with a few friends today and they all brought shorts for swimming and i brought jeans, it was well fun.:) Anyhoo they're all saying they had more fun cos they went swimming in shorts, and i went swimming in jeans. It was well fun. As it was the north sea they were very cold in their shorts and I was very warm in my jeans. So which one do u think is more fun to swim in? :bb::bb::bb::bb::bb:

Um... I don't go to the beach much, but you can't beat the feeling of freedom when one wears shorts. I love em! However I don't wear shorts as often as I'd like to :(

Jeans suck for swimming as they take forever to dry.

Was it well fun?

But yes, I used to have a complex about baring my bony old lady legs (only an old lady that had stuck sellotape to her legs to keep her warm then fell down at the fluff factory :( ) but now I think "f that s" and am often found in a pair of shorts.

So long as I'm completely alone and my housemates aren't in and I don't have to leave the house that day, of course. ;)

For swimming, I have a nice bermuda pair that used to be in fashion (in about 1986....meh, haven't swam for about 8 years either :( )

This is all priceless information, bet you glad you read it!

Three quarters! Or alternatively, pedal pushers! It's like being 10 again :)

You did a nice post Kurisukun94, but try and calm down a bit on the badgers! :p If you are unsure about anything, read the FAQs.

Also,

This thread smells of balls.

That's a bit out of order, you should read the FAQs too, because that ^ is hardly constructive criticism.

How were you warm in your jeans, they were wet anyway?

Lawrence
25-07-2008, 10:18 AM
it was only warm because he was swimming behind me.

I'm sorry are your family originally from porthcawl in south wales?
It seems the general rule there is nobody is allowed to wear anything but shorts and flip-flops. Even in the snow.

almightybenners
25-07-2008, 10:48 AM
shorts in the snow are a good idea because your legs dry off faster than jeans and if you keep running then your feet don't get cold

I can't stand shorts for some reason, but swimming in jeans? Wouldn't they get ridiculously heavy and restraining?

Yes but flip-flops=frostbite.

Real men wear flipflops 24/7

Even Jesus...

Smokey

Everyone knows Jesus really wore Doc Martens boots.

Can you actualy swim in jeans? Whenever I've been wearing them and got caught in the rain they doubled in weight. Anyway, the weather was nice today so it can't have been that cold in the water.

Obviously jeans are better. You were in the north sea, it's full of dead bodies, trollies, sewage, treasure, the lost city of atlantis and whatever france and the other europeans what to send our way.

I prefer shorts. I'd imagine swimming in jeans would be pretty uncomfortable.

I don't swim. Okay, I can't swim. But when I paddle in the freezing cold, polluted seas around the English coast I wear shorts. Not short shorts, the ones that come just below the knee.

I hate short shorts. They show everyone how bony my legs are :(

Midget

why would you swim in jeans what are you retarded

HoverCrab

Jeans is a flash. They look a damn sight better than shorts and it doesn't hurt to swim in style.

But generally I wear jeans more than shorts.

isn't it hard to swim in pants? esp jeans?

captain canuck
29-07-2008, 02:17 AM
Either one is infinitely better than the combination: jean shorts. Especially the kind with deliberately frayed edges.

Shorts all the way. Or naked!

I may be a little drunk

Bikini all the way. Or shorts I guess. Just not jeans.

From a girl's point of view, I think skinny legs on a guy aren't such a bad thing, particularly if they have at least a bit of a six pack or arm muscles. Basically just don't not wear shorts just because you have skinny legs - some girls think they're hot :)
