I'm up for another game, bit premature this though? The last game took nearly a month and that was quite a quick game! :D
Psst. You can't delete threads.
I would be up for this, as long as I'm not a munchkin or a fairy or something.

Do we HAVE to vote every day?

It is, but I want to know how many players I can expect, because I've got some roles in mind and I want to make the chances for the good guys and the bad guys as fair as possible. Development takes time too, you know ;)
Do we HAVE to vote every day?
No, every other day.
Edit: If by day you mean in-game-day, the answer is yes.

Do we HAVE to vote every day?The rules as they have been are that you need to play (by posting at least once) every Day, ie 48 hours. I think happy-go-lucky is being harsher on this rule, but no, you don't have to vote every day, if you mean every 24 hours. Just obviously if you're not voting every 48 hours then you're not really playing the game!

Hey :p
You only really have to vote every 96 hours. Everyone can manage that
Also Syl I would like to join your game please

Hmm.
Having followed most of the previous games I think its about time I signed up for one :)
Can't promise I'll be any good at it though!
Awesome, enough people have joined already to introduce all my shiny new rolls. Moar = better, though :D

Oh, and as I missed it earlier:Development takes time too, you know ;)Thanks, having run two games before and kinda brought the whole thing to these forums I wasn't to know that developing the game takes time. :p Just it won't take that long, certainly not a month or more that Game 5 is running for!
If you tell us your ideas for the new roles that would speed things up though, as others can pitch in their opinions or suggestions and help you out. Surprise is fun but not when things don't work out. ;)
True.
I want to use a few old roles, some under new names. The alpha wolf has an extra power: he may cast a false vote one time. This means he may vote in the game topic, but send me a pm with the real vote. The vote in the topic then doesn't count. This can only be done once, so the will have to decide carefully when he will use this power.
This is meant as a small compromise for the many goodguy roles I threw in.
We have, for example, the doctor under a more fairy-like name. The gypsy is back, too, also under a different name.
Apart from those I put in three completely new roles. I don't want to spoil too much of the surprise, but these three can only use their powers once in the entire game.
I still have to think about how many of which role to put in. I only want multiple wolves and gypsies, for the rest one will be sufficient I think.

The alpha wolf having a false vote sounds good, but won't players be able to work out if he has made a false vote? (I presuming by vote you mean voting for a lynching, not voting with the other werewolves to kill someone.) For instance when I play this game I keep track of who has voted for whom, so if I see that one person says they vote one way but the vote total doesn't add up I'll immediately be suspicious!

Cunning players like you might indeed find out, but it is hard to determine who is the one that casted a false vote, especially when the alpha wolf is a cunning player him/herself.
Things like this should make the game more of a puzzle. You have to be clever and come up with theories, even if your role isn't all that interesting.
I'm in, although I'm really absentminded so... yeah.

Can I sugest we make this thread the sign up for all 'where' related games, and then just use the dead thread to discuss ...the dead?
malcolio

The Dead thread has become a good thread for all talk not actually said in a game, so not just for signing up but for rule changes etc. I don't see why that needs to change. :) I get the feeling with a quick name change this thread could become the Game 7 thread....or it'll just slowly slip off the forum. Either way it doesn't really matter. :)
I'm not planning on changing this thread to the werewolves game thread. I find it very annoying to have to search for the page where the game starts to look for hints. God knows on what page we'll be before game six is over!

Still time for me to sign up? If so, I'll join.
I was just waiting for the other game to end before putting my name down.
Sorry, the roles have already beed devided. Keep an eye on the dead topic, you might be able to replace a non-active player.

I certainly shall.
But it might be a good idea in the future to set a deadline for entries, because if Roxit hadn't spoken up, the other game might have gone on for days yet.
However, what's the use of closing down early, or waiting for the deadline to start a new game?

So that people like TurkeySandwich could play? :p Especially I found that when you put the whole rules, settings etc up people get more interested, but meh. There's nearly 20 people playing, more than enough for a fun game. :)

Never mind, I'm sure someone will drop out, they always do. About 5 times if the last game is anything to go by, heh.
In fact if it's ok, I'd like to put my name down right now to replace whoever drops out first.
Ok, I wrote you down as first replacement :)
