Hello all readers, it would be fantastic if we could get another one of these going, i got into this sort of thing when i chose to participate in the previous ''ZSRP'' thread. This thread was a place where people could come together and use their illiterate skills to tell almost a story of a mass epidemic. All you have to do is think of a character that you like and bring them to life in a world plagued by zombies. The previous thread can still be found in the forum games section, but unfortunately hasn't seen much life in a while. I and Shalashashka have decided to revive the zombie survival RP as it is very enjoyable and there are no ''+6 attack sword of magical destiny.'' Of course i can think of many other geeky examples but lets not go to that. Basically feel free to join in at any time, of course, we will need around five or more characters to get this started, so basically, join in and have fun!

Rules:
Be kind to other RP ers and respect their characters and stories. No ''Hey your character sucks compared to my level 77 arch-wizard from elderon!''
Not that there will be any levels of any sort.

No god modding, you can kill a zombie in the most horrific way possible if you wish, but you can't tear it appart with your bare hands or use some kind of magic spell. Unfortunately, we are not all Superman, we cannot do such things.

Finally, be realistic, no form of ''then my guy somehow knows how to free-run and leaps across buildings into the distance.'' Your characters are normal people with normal jobs in a crazy situation, it's about using your creativity to overcome the obstacles.

Ok, so get joinin' people. It will be fun.

I think I may join in on this. I'm a veteran of many a non-weebls-stuff zombie RP (yes I realise this makes me a geek), but they're usually based on something that already exists.

I assume we're talking slow zombies here? That is, proper ones.

Yeah, unless anyone would prefer the running ones?

I definiatly want to be a part of this, and I think i'd prefer the proper ones too.
Write a little story about how it all started too :)

Ok, here it is!

Dr.Benkman noiticed the illuminated green test tube on the table before him, he cautioussly picked it up, examining it from every angle.
''Perfect.'' He said, his new creation was going to be ground breaking, a mindless soldier wich can infect others, an endless army with one primary instinct, to kill. Surely his new creation would earn him billions, but surely enough, it was far too dangerous to be left in the laboratory. He picked up the tube and fumbled around with it nervously, he was shocked to hear the door open behind him.
''Wah... Jenkins?'' he said. As he finished the sentance he felt the tube slip through his fingers when SMASH! The tube smashed, letting the thick green liquid escape.
''Oh jesus, what's that smell!? Jenkins screamed as blood seeped from his eyes and nose.

The other lab workers were confused to see two lab workers shuffeling towards them, moaning with blood covered faces.

Zephyr was basking gloriously in his newly purchased cabin on the outskirts of town. Finally, after three years of intense saving up he had finally managed to scrape enough cash to buy this cabin, isolated in the wilderness. To the east lay a large cliff, leading out to sea, while to south and west lay the sprawling suburbs and the downtown area respectively. North was just barren, half-dead forest that went pitch black when the sun started to set.

Not that he minded, though. It was unlikely that Zephyr would start believing in ghosts any time soon. Except maybe the ghosts of his past marriage, now echoing with the reverberations of divorce. He sighed aloud. How the hell could his wife have slept easily at night, cheating on him with not one but two other people simultaneously! AND she still won custody of his child! At least he was too young to be affected too severely by it. He sent him money whenever he could, but as of late the minor recession had hit him hard.

He picked up the single crate, nestled in the back of the Dune Buggy - all of his worldly possessions after the heavily biased judge ruled that he was somehow in fault - and carried it over to the cabin. He was only 25 (and a reasonably fit person to boot), but sometimes he felt like the digits were reversed. No more drama, no more fighting and arguing for now. He would stay in his cabin, and take a year off like his psychiatrist had advised.

He faintly felt a rumble underfoot, but dismissed it - this part of the world was highly suspect to minor tremors, and although the city itself was about four miles away from the fault-line (Zephyr now lived about a mile and a half closer), it still suffered minor damage from the last big one. Another rumble past, a bigger one this time, but it still did little more then startle the few birds that lived in the otherwise decrypt forest. He duly noted a large amount of wooden planks sitting near the front door, and resolved to move them at a later date. Perhaps he could sell them...

Might as well stay in character to an extent. :)

Sam ran through the forest, twig after twig clawed at his face as he ran hastely to civilisation, he had just dispatched two men with his bare hands, they were unussualy frail and decrepit, one of his punches all most ripped one of their heads off, it mattered not to him, he'd taken lives before.

Ahead he saw a cabin, was it occupied? He couldn't tell, he carried on running, step after step their deaths came back to him, he got more pleasure from it than sorrow.

''They tried to bite me, thier fault..'' He muttered as he pushed the branches out of the way.

Sam was a big man, dispatching two slow weedy men was nothing for him, he knew it was necassary, if he hadn't killed them they would have killed him.

Beckett woke up the same as he did every day, looked at the clock and saw that it was late. That's not surprising, he thought, after everything that happened last night.

Sitting up, he began to go over the events of the night in his head. It was a bit blurry, but he remembered being in the bar, and later staggering back to his friend's car. After standing up, he wandered over to the sink and splashed water across his face; miraculously, there was no hangover, but he still felt a bit grimy from all the various types of alcohol which had been spilled over him the night before.

It wasn't long before he'd had a shower, brushed his teeth and got dressed. Before unlocking the sturdy lock on his room on the second storey of the student house, he paused to check he had everything - car keys, wallet, mobile phone and lighter. He then checked then his appearance in the mirror, before unlocking the door and leaving the room.

Downstairs, he sat down with a bowl of cornflakes and looked at the paper. What he saw on the front page shocked him - a huge headline saying 'THE DEAD WALK'. Glancing at the accompanying photo, he saw the faces of several people, all covered in blood, and all apparently advancing on the photographer. Then a memory flashed through his mind. Last night, even in his inebriated state, he had noticed a TV report about riots in the city centre. He had even seen some people running around outside the bar, which itself was well out of the way of the centre.

Just then, there was an explosion. Beckett leapt out of his chair in time to see a huge pillar of fire rising up from somewhere in the direction of the city centre. 'What the hell...?'

Grabbing the paper again, he skimmed through the relevant points. Apparently, there were people roaming the streets, eating others! According to the article, more and more people were falling victim to this...disease or whatever it was, when they themselves were bitten by one of the infected. Preliminary reports suggest that when police attempted to control the situation, and tried to use deadly force, they found that only removing the head or destroying the brain seemed to work. The paper advised people to stay indoors. Noting that the paper was today's, Beckett realised one of his housemates must have brought it in - but where were they now?

Beckett began to wander the house looking for them all, but apparently none of them was in their rooms. Deciding he may get more information from the TV, Beckett went into the living room, only to discover one of his housemates already there; the TV was on, and Jack had the remote.

Approaching slowly, Beckett called to him. 'Jack?'

There was no respone.

'Jack? Whats going on?'

'Mrrmrmrmrrrrrhhh!!!'

Beckett staggered backwards as Jack turned to him, and was revealed to have lost his jaw. '$&*%!!!' Beckett turned and ran back into the hallway. Thinking quickly, he realised that he would need some kind of weapon if he were to go outside. Helpfully, the baseball bat from their game the other day was still lying by the stairs. Grabbing it, Beckett ran to the door. After glancing back into the house one last time, and still hearing the moans of the approaching undead Jack, Beckett ripped open the door and cautiously stepped outside.

His car was parked directly opposite, and it didn't look like there was anyone around. So, bat at the ready, Beckett crept quickly to his fairly new Vauxhall Astra, unlocked it and jumped in. As he started the car up, he tried to think of a plan. There was no one in particular he wanted to get to - his parents were both on holiday in Canada, and since it was a university holiday, most of his friends were out of town. Beckett decided to almost literally head for the hills - well, the forest, anyway. He began to drive.

It was difficult trying to dodge the...zombies...on the way through the outskirts, but most of the time he managed it. However, just as he was reaching the very last houses at the edge of the town, one of the zombies seemed to lunge out at him from an alleyway. Careering sideways, Beckett ran it over before slamming the car into a lamp post. Luckily he was basically unharmed, but now the car was out of action. Several zombies were approaching from various angles, so Beckett jumped out of the car and ran for his life down the road, which quickly became a dirt track. After a few minutes at full pelt, Beckett felt he could run no farther, and stopped. He was now a fair distance from where he had crashed, and in the forest. Panting, Beckett looked around him, before something caught his eye a little way down the track.

A cabin.

Noah had always been fond of the idea of camping in the wild, being the son of a hunter he had followed his father into the wild many times, hunting various animals.

But this time he was alone, he felt that he had to get away from the civilization for a while and things in general had been pretty bad, the alcoholism had taken it's toll on his private life and social life so his psychiatrist had felt that it would be a good idea to take some time off every now and then to take a hike in the wild.

So here he was, after a week in the wild he had to get back to town, to resupply and go on AA-meeting, but this time he didnt take the straight way back to the town, he wanted to go to that old cabin and check it out.

Suddenly he heard something approaching, but he did not quite recognize what it could be, it did not sound like a bear, neither did it sound like any other predator he could think of, so he said fairly loud "Who is there?".

No response, he crouched and sneaked a little bit closer to where the sound came from, and aproximiatly 50 meters ahead of him was... A man, very pale and had several wounds to neck and arms.

It also walked very, very slowly, almost like it was shambling.
So Noah stood up from where he was and started walking towards this severly wounded man, when he was 10 meters away he asked if the man was ok.
The man turned his head, the whitened eyes staring at Noah, yet still not staring, and then began to moan and shamble towards Noah.

Noah then realized that something was really, really wrong, could the man have Rabies?
Suddenly the man launched himself forward, trying to bite, so Noah drew his knife that he had into the mans stomach.

Still, this man were alive, how could it be?
So he kicked back the man, and started running, running to the direction in the cabin.

Charles Barth took off his glasses in frustration.
They were screwed.
Who the hell is going to fund a project to create-what was it that raving lunatic called them? An army that would kill on instinct, that did not differentiate between man and woman, adult and child? The old bastard thought that this idea would make him millions. When he's dead the money won't really matter, or if he makes a mistake and the rest of the world gets infected.
"Benkman you fool." he muttered.

3 days later after the incident, Barth witnessed his colleague Jenkins and the leader of the project, Dr. Benkman, shuffling towards him. They were not a pretty sight.
Barth acted quickly, and got the hell out, while his other colleague was too slow.
The screams echoed in his head as he got into his car, and drove away.

Sam walked hastely to the cabin, glancing back he saw that none of the dead but not dead guys were following him. Thinking about it he remembered one of the guys attacking him having a large chunk ripped out of the side of his neck.

He looked up and the sun was bright, he'd been in the forest for at least a day, he was tired, and needed a plce to sleep.

He glanced downwards to see a man, walking with a pace up the dirt road to the cabin, walking with too much pace to be one of those dead guys.

''Great..'' He muttered
''Bet this chump's the owner.''

Zephyr trudged up to the door, and put the crate down heavily. Taking out his keys, he unlocked the door easily and it swung open, revealing a clean, empty inside, decorated with minimal furniture quite tastefully. He spotted the faux-tiger skin carpet and frowned. That would have to go as well, Zephyr growled to himself..

Picking up his crate, Zephyr stomped inside and put it down on the sofa. He sighed with relief. Peace at last? The tired traveller went into the kitchen to fix himself a glass of water - driving for several hours had taken it's toll on him. Taking a large gulp of water, Zephyr refilled the glass and went back inside. Re-adjusting his knife sheath and carefully putting his hand-cannon on the table (Zephyr wasn't in the mood to lose it, or worse, hurt himself.), he sat down in the middle of the three seater sofa, resting. Knocking back half of the glass again, he leaned over and plucked out his Laptop. Turning it on, Zephyr noted to his surprise that the internet was available from here, albeit at a very weak signal.

He checked his e-mails. One new message, confirming that he was leaving his old Thai Boxing class for a year. The men and women there had been at one point his only link to sanity during the divorce, when seemingly most of his friends had either severed contact with him or just outright turned against him. His frustrations had, Zephyr conceeded, brought about a good point in that he channelled them into his final lessons, eventually leaving among the top of the class. He snapped out of it. Time to move on. Closing the laptop, Zephyr stood up and started for the door to bring his car up further -

Twigs snapping very severely stopped him in his tracks. Was this wolf country? Or worse, bears? He didn't think so, not even this close to Yellowstone national. As he started again for the door, he recalled an encounter with a bear several years ago, during his brief stint with the SWAT team of the city, where it was sniffing through the bins of residential areas and harassing the inhabitants. Tranquillizers and trucks had removed it soon enough, but it had left him with a whole respect for animals in general, and these days he never even swatted a fly unless it was uncatchable. Or a pest, like a hornet. It also left him with a hatred for the kind of folk who would shoot animals for sport - defence, fair enough, but for fun? - and i -

Another cracking resonated through the air. Nope, not a bear. Sounded human like, but who would be out here at this time of night? Probably some lost traveller, no doubt. He tensed up. Where was that noise coming from? Paranoia found Zephyr resting his hand on his knife. "Hello?" Zephyr called out into the open forest in a loud voice.

Sam trudged forwards and called back to the man.
''Hey, you got any beers?''
Sam now saw he was the owner of the cabin, so who was the man walking up the dirt road? Sam walked forward softly, gently patting his knife into his jeans, he didn't want to startle this guy, he just wanted to make some sense out of the heavy situation he had landed himself in.

As Beckett neared the cabin, he could see through the window the owner, who was standing in the doorway on the other side of the building. Beyond there, another man seemed to be approaching, having emerged from the undergrowth. It looked like the approaching man had seen him, and Beckett was about to shout to him when he heard the owner call 'Hello?' from inside the cabin.

The other man called back. By now Beckett was right beside the cabin, and rounded the corner. It didn't look like these two knew each other, so Beckett presumed the other approaching man was in the same boat as he was.

As Beckett moved cautiously closer to the doorway where the owner was stood, he decided to interject. 'Er, hey...Is this cabin safe?'

Noah had nearly ran for 10 minutes, he kept thinking about that man that he had thrusted his knife into, what was it that kept him alive even though he should've died?
But he had other things to worry about now, could there be more of those... infected people? Best to stay focused, he wouldnt want to get infected by this rabies or whatever it could be.

Just as he had cleared his mind, he saw the Cabin, but it wasnt desolate like he had thought it would be, no there stood 3 men.
Could they be infected? Noah thought to himself. I think i'll hide for a while and see what happens.

He could hear voices, but suddenly he heard one, no, three moans.
Noah leaped to his legs and saw first the infected one he had stabbed to the stomach, slowly walking towards him, and behind him were two men in... Labcoats?

No time to think about who they were, they were slowly coming closer to him and he were clueless on what to do, so the only logical thing he could do was to approach the others who were not infected.

So he did, they were quite far away so he first shouted in their direction and ran, with three infected slowly shambling behind him.

"Hey, im being chased by some sort of infected people, as you can see they are coming closer, I had to stab the man closest to us in self defence, and as you can see he's not quite dead, and im unsure whether he's actually alive or if he's a shell of his former self, we dont have much time til they come here so... we better do something, and fast."

"Im Noah by the way."

Sam saw the owner of the cabin as about to say something when some other guy turned up to the right and asked if the cabin was safe, the man in front of him didn't seem to respond, so Sam went ahead and replied...
''I dunno... I...''
He was interupted by a man running towards them with a farely startled look on his face, being followed by three shambling lab workers?

''Woah...Woah..Woah.'' He turned to the guy on the left.
''You... Shut up.'' The guy on the right. ''To be honest i don't have a fucking clue.'' The man to the left stopped beside the trio panting.
''Right, everybody chill the shit out, i'm gonna start asking questions, and i want answers.'' He turned to the guy on the left.

Barth had driven away, but after awhile realised it would be a good idea to go back and see what his co-workers were up to. He drove back to find them gone.
After driving around the area for an hour, he spotted them going into a forest. He swore as he saw a third. This increased the chances of the zombies spreading. Hell, they had probably already spread infection in the city.
He decided to follow them.

Zephyr listened as the man to his right (and the questioners left) started to give a brief summary of his story. Zephyr growled, slightly audibly - was this a prank? Was he about to be robbed? The lead shambler stumbled in a depression in the ground, and moaned loudly. The depression filled with sickly dark blood.

Fuck this for a laugh, he decided. The knife clearly wasn't deterring them enough. Besides, he didn't fancy the prospect of descending into melee combat. Ignoring the conversation between the strangers, he backed into his living room, calling out as he did so: "OK you lot, get inside, no rushing now, let's keep it calm." As they started to file in, another moan emitted from outside. Picking up and cocking his hand cannon, he slowly ventured back to the door, ever aware of the others' eyes on his handgun.

He was now at the front, just barely outside. The shamblers continued to advance. "Alright you fuckers, last chance - back off or I'll blow your fucking brains out!". The warning, of course, was unheeded. As the first shot slammed into one of the zombies' head (the one that had tripped) , the deafening noise launched itself into the night sky, and echoed away with a vigorous reverberation. Taking careful aim again, he devastated the neck of the second shambler, leaving one, slightly lagging, very blood-covered zombie briefly bemused.

Beckett listened as the other around him said their piece. He was about to reply when the owner of the cabin beckoned them all inside. Seeing the approaching infected, he decided to follow instructions and calmly but quickly moved inside the cabin. Beckett still had his baseball bat, but the fact that this man had a rather large-looking gun made him feel a little more secure.

Beckett watched as the slow, corpse-like people moved toward them, and winced as the first zombie's head went flying back with the gunshot. The second was just as jarring, and the amount of blood surprised him.

'Lovely,' he muttered ironically to himself, but he was glad the threat was diminishing.

Noah still staring in a sort of shock, saw that the man who had decapitated one zombie by a pretty clean shot to the head, and another one to the neck.

But clearly the one who had been severly wounded to the neck were still living, and there was also one behind him, slowly shambling towards them.

No time to think, Noah said to himself and grabbed the baseball bat one of the men were carrying.
He quickly hit the head of the damaged... man, Noah is a pretty strong man and because of the severe wounds to the neck, the head were quite easily removed from the neck, flying away a few meters.

Noah then smashed the skull of the other infected one, this time it didnt fly off but it did bring this thing down to the ground, twitching.
It didnt rise, but he wanted to be sure, so he struck a few times into the backhead of this man, and slowly walked backwards with his sight on this thing to ensure that it did not rise again.

It didnt seem like so this time, so he turned to the other men in the cabin.
"So, as I said, Noah is my name and we all seem to be healthy and not infected like those others, does anyone have a clue what could've struck them?

To me it seems like some sort of Rabies, but these infected ones seem to have no human feelings, nor do they seem to notice pain or wounds that should be lethal to humans."

"Oh and im starving, you dont happen to have anything edible around?"

OOC ; So could anyone draw a map of how this cabin is like, how the surrounding terrain is and other information that could be helpful?
Oh and also describe how your character looks like, do it in OOC or describe yourself in RP-style.
Noah is a male in his mid 40s, he havent shaved in a week so he got a fairly big beard, moustasche too.
He is roughly 174cm tall and of average build.

As Sam saw the blood of the first man fly up in the air a grin stretched across his face, the gore was followed by a bullet ripping a hole in anothers nck, shortly followed by a baseball bat to its head.

He looked closely at the owners gun, several attempts of removing the gun ran through his head, but he thought it best to lay low for a while. He walked back out of the cabin, lit a smoke and looked at the man carrying the baseball bat.

He clenched the cigarette between his teeth and grabbed the end of it with one hand. ''Careful where you point that thing, you dont want it landing on your head do you?'' He carefully twisted the bat and removed it from the mans hand, he clenched it firmly in his right hand and approached the owner of the cabin.
''You got a car?'' He said looking at the gun being held in the mans hand.

Beckett felt the baseball bat slip out of his loose grip; he hadn't been expecting someone form inside the cabin to try to take it. The man who had grabed it went on to use it against the remainder of the 'zombies', a sight which was like something out of a horror film.

As Beckett watched, the bat changed hands again, and now the third man had taken possession of it. Before the owner of the cabin could answer the question, Beckett interjected. 'Do you mind?' He held uout his hand. 'It's my lucky bat.'

Noticing a large metal pipe sitting behind the door, he used his other hand to point to it and said, 'There's a pipe there you can use if you want a heavier weapon.'

As for OOC:
Beckett is a tall guy (at 6' 2") of around 21. He has blue eyes, wavy blond hair and an upright posture. He is wearing jeans and a khaki jacket.

Sam lifted the bat and began gently pushing it into the guys throat.
''Be careful what you say to me.'' A smile again stretched on his face revealing his teeth, he pushed harder.
''If you have have a death wish just carry on talking.''
Sam saw a dark figure slowly emerging from the corridor outside the room, it stepped into the light revealing a blood stained workshirt. It took another step forward revealing its face, its jaw was completely gone, all that remained was a few teeth and a tounge hanging out of its mouth.
''Move!'' Sam said as he pushed the guy out of the way, he threw the baseball bat at the mans head and pulled up his left jean leg revealing a large knife.
He ran forwards, grabbed the man and threw him to the floor, this was slowly followed by a snappy jab to the mans forehead with the blade.

As sam pried the blood soaked blade from the head of the man he noticed another group of people coming through the door.
''You!'' Sam pointed to the man with the gun.
''You're up!'' He said pointing at the group.

The words were barely out of his mouth when the next bullet sang into the night sky. Another figure slumped to the ground, never to get up again. Considering the circumstances, one of them was being very cocky about the whole situation, almost as if he saw the other people as a challenge and the zombies as a bonus. How the hell had the other zombie got into the cabin though? Could he trust the other three people, or was he going to have to keep his wits about him? At least one of them seemed to be somewhat dangerous, having already threatened one of the others - Noah was it? No wait, that was the other guy. Better to stay aloof for now at any rate.

"I am Zephyr" he said - "mock the name at your own risk. Right, you" - Zephyr pointed to the man who had just stabbed the zombie - "Give him back that bat, use the pipe if you wish. Come with me into the back and we'll see what kind of barricade we can form at the back door - clearly the last owner was not thoughtful enough to lock it before he left." He turned to face the other two. "You've got pretty damn sturdy melee weapons, and a narrow choke-point to boot. You should be able to get rid of that lot out there. After it's done, lock the door and start barricading. We'll worry about the windows l -" his speech was cut off as a car pulled up outside, horn tooting harmoniously with the moans of the zombies.

Sam didn't like being told what to do, he didn't really like anything. He just loved violence, it was his life, he wanted to let the others know that he was someone not to be messed with, someone to be feared. He knew that two of the men had never been in a drastic situation before, one of them basically froze at the sight of the dead guys.

He calmed down and put his knife back in his boot, he gave the other guy his bat back and walked up to 'Zephyr' as he had said his name was.
''Fair enough, you set up the barricade, i'm gonna go see who's out front.''

Noah really was confused by now, how could these things keep on living even after giving them several wounds?
Little time to think now though, he had 'killed' two of those things and now he was in the vicinity of other survivors, because this would seem to be something that could turn out pretty bad, he had not been into town for a week and he guessed that this disease must've spread in there too.

He was not yet quite sure who owned the Cabin, but his guess was that it was Zephyr, and the two others had not yet said what their names were, so he tried once again to try to loosen up the tension that had seemed to be starting to build up.

"Ok Zephyr, nice to meet you, nice little cabin you got here, i'll help you build up some barricades so that they cant come through any windows or backdoors."
But I dont think you have told us your names, Noah said while looking at the man in the Blonde hair OOC; Beckett that is, what is your name?

So, anyone who's up to draw a map of this cabin?

Sam said, he looked at the several zombies coming up the dirt road to the left, he knew if they stayed there they would all end up dead.

Zephyr nodded at Noah in acknowledgement as he passed him on the way outside. The zombie invasion had seemingly worsened up a little for now, and it looked like they would have to find a more suitable haven very sharpish. Approaching the new comer, he caught on to the end of the conversation:
"you want to stay here thats fine by me but ill be taking the car!''

"Nobody is going anywhere I'm afraid sir. My car is almost out of gas and that thing there looks like it's on it's last legs anyway. I do have plenty of wood lying about, so we will be able to fortify the house where needed. However, I suggest we move fast -" he swung his gun up lazily and shot the last bullet into the eye of the nearest shuffling corpse - " they'll be over us at the first possible opportunity.". He reloaded skilfully and swiftly re-ended another life.

The other two at this stage approached. "We've got dogs out back, you might want to get ready." The blonde one said.

Beckett had been so lost in his thoughts, he had barely taken in what was going on around him; the only thing he had really noticed was having the bat pressed into his throat, which annoyed him. Beckett had quietly considered the fact that in raising the bat so, the guy had left himself wide open for some broken ribs - but Beckett wasn't in the habit of maiming people for such minor transgressions.

Now, the sight of approaching dogs (which appeared to be diseased in the same way as the people they had encountered) had snapped him out of his reverie.

Raising the bat once more, he said, 'By the way, my name's Beckett. At least now we can die knowing each others' names. Which is nice.' He smiled darkly.

OOC: By the way, my internet is playing up at the moment, so if stuff happens and I don't reply, just assume I'm following quietly, or whatever.

Barth frowned.
"You think that we'll have any chance of surviving if these fuckers get outside this city? At least 2 more are in the city, and hopefully someone else will stop the infetion from spreading, but the ones you've fought here are very few. Otherwise, I am afraid that we are all royally screwed."
He turned to the others.
"Fan out, and be men. Go in twos and search this area. It's down to stemming the infection at this point gentlemen, not surviving ourselves because....jesus christ that old bastard has no idea what he's done!"
He glanced at his watch.
"Get back here in ten minutes, and for God's sake, don't die. I'm really sorry to ask this of you but we need to clear this area as best we can, then get back to the city."

Sam was pissed off, no keys, no car and being told what to do. Sam was aware of the situation and didn't want to stick around with the group of men, all who seemed more confident with staying at the cabin. Sam knew who the man meant when he said 'That crazy old bastard' it was Dr.Beckett, also known as Andrew Beckett, Sams father. He was just recently at the labs when the creatures got loose, he was working as a security guard, a temporary job wich payed well. Sam was just about to get fired for breaking a scientists nose when gunshots started cracking and the alarm went off. Sam hated working at the labs, he was the only guard who didn't carry a firearm, he hated them, for pussy's he said. He also hated loud noises, which added to his hatred for them.

Sam remebered the rumours being passed around but he thought it was all bullshit, just a joke, obvioussly not it would now seem, and it had gotten to a high enough level it was life threatening.

''Fine, sam said in response to the mans order, but ill be going alone.''
Sam walked off before they said anything, he had had enough crap for one day, and had already made himself hated among his new companions, he was just pissed off, his father had been killed after all.

Noah had just put some wood against the two windows that were on the side in the kitchen and the one in the bedroom, it wasnt a really good job but atleast it was shut close, so noone could possibly see through, and when he was going to tell the others that he had closed down the windows, he heard that one of the guys saying

"...Fan out, and be men. Go in twos and search this area. It's down to stemming the infection at this point gentlemen, not surviving ourselves because....jesus christ that old bastard has no idea what he's done!"
"Get back here in ten minutes, and for God's sake, don't die. I'm really sorry to ask this of you but we need to clear this area as best we can, then get back to the city."

Noah didnt quite know what to do by this time, he glanced at the man who seemed to be the one loving violence the most, he said something about going alone and walked quickly away...

He couldnt quite understand why one would want to walk alone when these... zombies, yes zombies was a good word for these infected ones.
So he glanced back on Zephyr, the man named Beckett and on the one who had given the orders.
"Should we really expose ourself more to this danger? I have barricaded the windows so they are quite shut, I wouldnt expect anyone to break down them unless they have an axe or a sledgehammer, but I cant really see these... zombies to bear arms, and im actually pretty hungry."

And it's getting late, in just a few hours it will be dark and I dont know about you guys, but I'd rather not be walking outside with zombies lurching around, especially not since animals seem to be able to be infected, Noah said while glancing behind Beckett, those dogs would be harder to injure he thought to himself, as they were smaller in statue and seemed to still have the agility and speed of a completly healthy dog.

They would be here in just a matter of seconds he thought to himself, he had a hammer in his hand, he did have pretty sturdy gloves on so the risk of being bitten were quite low, but the risk were still there.

He raised his hammer, getting ready to hit one of these dogs as they drew closer...

Zephyr watched the new man explain the situation with interest. Clearly he knew a fair old bit about these zombies and how the infection had initially spread; although it was still anyones guess how many zombies had actually been.. created, for want of a better word. Indeed, how many had fallen to them as well?

"Leave the man be." Zephyr said to the new comer as he swiftly put down one of the dogs with a savage kick to the head. "Perhaps committing savage acts of violence of his own accord will cheer him up a bit. We need to clear out the zombies and he seems to like bashing things about, so at least he's in a win-win situation."

"Noah does have a valid point though, so we'll need to be fairly quick. Noah, you and Beckett go to the left and scour the area. Sir, you can accompany me, but it will be quicker for all of us if I can get my car refuelled. There's a jerry can of fuel that I can use to fill my tank, and we should have some left for your car too. We'll fix up the cars, grab everyone and head to the city after the other zombies here are accounted for. Sound good?"

Sam trudged off into the forest, dimly recalling his escape from the lab, it involved marching through a hoarde of zombies with only his nightstick at hand.
He remembered the last thing his father said to him before he released those ape shit zombies into the outside world.

''The perfect soldier, able to spread infection to any lifeform, slowly killing out the natural cells and replacing them with a bio engineered virus. And even if they are defeated, i have developed a device that can take the virus airborne!''

It was all coming back to him, its not that he didn't want to tell the others about what was going on, it was that he could barely remember, he was the first test subject, he couldnt spread infection nor did he want to, he just had this strange urge to kill anything he could, he had his pills to subdue the rage, but they wouldnt hold out for long, he would have to return to the godforsaken place at some point in order to get the rest of his pills.

He was drawn out of his memories by a blood-covered greyhound sprinting towards him, he was confused by its actions, surely it wouldnt just approach him unless it was...

''Oh shit!'' Sam cried as it leapt towards him, he swung his fist round making contact with its head sending it hurtling towards a nearby tree, it lay on the ground a limp and bloody mess, sam quietly lifted his knife and thrust the blade into its head.
''Poor thing.'' He said cleaning the blood off onto a branch.
''Nothing else hear i guess.'' He took another pill and began heading back to the cabin.

Barth nodded.
"It's all we need. There won't be many zombies; possibly none at all, and they won't have gone far. You seem to be from around this area. Lead the way."
Barth threw his now bent golfclub to the side and went to his car. Picking up another, he went to follow Zephyr.

Beckett nodded and began to move off to the left with the intention of doing some scouting. Whatever their plan, they would need to be familiar with the area.

As he rounded a corner of the cabin, another dog appearad, lunging at him. Beckett barely had time to swing the bat before the dog was on top of him, but it was enough. The dog went crashing to the ground, and Beckett wasted no time bashing again to make sure.

'Yuck.' Beckett scowled at the battered body fo the dog before looking round again. It looked like the area was clear again...for now. He walked a few more metres and saw something black and white through the trees - a wrecked police car on a dirt track below. 'Hey!' he called back over his shoudler to the others. 'I found something!'

Picking his way throught he undergrowth, cautious of any more possible creatures, Beckett arrived at the car only to see that it was drenched in blood. I wonder where the cop is... he thought, glancing round again just in case the zombified corpse was still nearby - it wasn't. Inside the car there was a lot of equipment, including a portable police-band radio (currently static), two walkie-talkies, a set of handcuffs, a baton, a taser and a shotgun, although there was no extra ammo. Beckett collected these things with a view to sharing them out amongst his ecclectic group of companions and turned back.

Noah heard one of the men calling him, it seemed like he had found something in the wild.
He saw the crashed car, a police car here, where could the cops be?
Not able to recall seeing any zombies in police uniforms, he hoped for the best that they might've survived...

But it didnt seem so, as alot of stuff, including a shotgun, he said to the man "I'll take the shotgun, I have a decent aim and it should be sufficent enough for close quarters."
Noah proceeded to unload to see how many shells he had, one came out, two, three, four, five.

Looks like it had been fired once, Noah thought to himself, but by whom?
He put the shells into his pocket, they would be easily accessable in case he would have to fire, hopefully not since they wouldnt want to make any unwanted noise, as the zombies seemed to be attracted to noise, and the less zombies they had to fight, the better.

Noah also checked if there were any gas left in the car, the door was pretty smashed, but it did open.
Half a tank it seemed, he looked to the man and said

"It's half full, we should find a bucket or even a gas tank and get this to the other car, I wouldnt rely too much on this wreck to be able to drive, and well, it's pretty messy interiorwise too."

Sam walked towards the direction in which the mans call came from, he arrived only to see a police car that had been parked in a tree.
''I'll take the baton.'' Sam said. ''And any other melee weapons you can find.''
Sam let the others continue walking around the wreckage scavenging useful surplus. He turned and looked into the distance, he could faintly make out a black figure stumbling around amidst the trees.
''We're being watched.'' Sam said. ''Keep your cool and carry on what your doing, but watch your back, i think the cops might still be here.''

Zephyr waited a few beats, before resuming in a steely voice: "Given the zombies have no heart-beat, I doubt the taser is going to be of much assistance to our cause." Zephyr called over, upon seeing the aforementioned weapon. "Right, I've got this tank filled up to the brim, we should be set to go as soon as the good doctor gets his car ready. I can fit one in the back and one in the side; everyone else rides with the doctor."

Barth walked back towards the band of survivors. He had searched the area, and there wasn't anyone, or thing left. He felt his search was sufficent to stop the infection spreading through this forest.
He listened to Zephyr and nodded.
"My car has enough to get us back to the city at least. There should be somewhere safe there. Whose going to ride with me?"

He looked into the police car, and picked up the tazer.
"Yes, this won't hurt the zombies, but I'm taking it anyway. We mgiht have to take care of humans in the city."

Yeah sorry about that i was a little drunk. I shoud've edited it out but i just didn't, i prefered yours anyway Shalashaska. If people are still interested in this RP i would be happy to restart it.

I'm really not good at running this kind of thing, and would prefer someone else to do it, i didnt follow the rules i set myself so i'm basically a hypocrit aswell, but in the end as i said above, i would like to continue on but i need people, possibly more than before, or you could make one Shalashaska it would be better.

I really am sorry, it's not good being a bloody hoermone infested teenager, i have mood swings, i guess that was one of them, i've been getting drunk a lot lately aswell, so...
Anyway, please try and join in again, i really dont want to ruin this.

You know what i think? I think i just try to hard to keep things like this running, that last RP i messaged loads of people asking were they were, but you know, i'm probablly just gonna stick to playing Garrys Mod and Counter Strike.
