two words:

Ronald Reagan.

it's happened.

and well really, it's kinda an option for star's who are reaching the end's of their first career's they can use what's left of their old popularity to get them into a position that will keep them living the extravagentish life they're used to.

Ronald Reagan: a mediocre actor, a mediocre California Governor but popular, a mediocre President but not quite as popular. Now, the poor old fart has Alzheimer's and gets more clueless every day.

See what politics does to one-dimensional actors? Arnold, drop out of the race. You don't need to contract Alzheimer's. (laughing vigorously)

If California elects Arnold as their next Governor, I wish them lots of luck.

there is more of a connection between arnold and ventura, then reagan...

the predator did kill ventura, but was defeated by arnold... with that in mind i'm sure that if ventura can do it, so can arnold...

i don't understand why people make such a big deal out of this... its california! a movie star running for office in california is like a farmer running for office in nebraska... they live there and if they care enuff i see no problem with them running for office...

I remembered something when I heard arnold was going for govenor.

Do any of you remember in the film demolition man, that bit when he finds out that arnold became president?

Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it?

anyway, me being in england and safe from all this madness, i think it would be quite funny to see him in a position of power

go arnie

something always puzzled me about that film. is the ridiculous social structure used all over the world, the country, or is it just in san angeles (or whatever the city was called)? if it's not global, why don't mr friendly and his friends leave. if it is global, why? wasn't it instituted as a contingency to deal with the massive earthquake?

anyhow... arnie would clearly only be a figurehead governor. i find it hard to believe that he has the brains to do the job by himself. i may be wrong, of course; i've never met him, so my judgement is wholly superficial. presuming he is as stupid as he looks, his actual success as governor will depend on what kind of people he has behind him.

I just kept on thinking of Ronald Reagan... I'm not particularly pleased by the idea, nor am I repulsed by it. I'm just glad I'm on the opposite coast. ^_^

Have you noticed that he doesn't appear to have any real policies? But I'm all for it if he does a good job.

Yeah it's like: So arnold what is your policy on education?

"I am the terminator"
"I'll be back"

*lots of clapping*

And for the past few days, all these poor, ugly, old women are coming out of the woodwork to claim that Arnold molested them. Most of them won't look at the camera or look directly at the interviewer while making their invented-sounding claims.

"Arnold touched my butt." "Arnold spanked me." "When Maria wasn't around, Arnold was a complete ass at work." "Arnold grabbed my tits."

I hope somebody is paying for all this load of bullshit. I don't give a hoot whether Arnold wins, but this is getting ridiculous.

I think he stands a good chance of winning, cos hes well known and famous, and he appealed to peoples human side by apologizing for being an ass.

T'would be funny if he won, and then had to do Terminator 4 wouldn't it.....

What's it matter? California is doomed now anyway.

Fruiterian
06-10-2003, 04:40 PM
Probably. But still. They might at least vote someone competent in there rather than someone with no platform who says "I'll be back" in a heavy accent, and whose previous government expierience was more along the lines of a figure head for physical fitness. As I said, I'm on the opposite coast (and, too young to vote anyways) so I really don't care right now.

But Arnold as President? A scary thought.

Fruiterian

But the entertainment in the UK is SO superior!

Eh. Whatever.

I just want to travel. And if Arnold does become president... -shudder- I can't think about it.

Dr-Electro

Ladies and gentlemen, the Constitution of the United States of America plainly states that the president must be born in the United States. Herr Schwarzenegger is not eligible to run for the office of president.

You are safe, you don't have to move, you can stay here with me.

Also, moving to Canada would not be a crazy thing to do. Canada is nice and so are the people, if you avoid the separatists.

:nana: Nana for President. White House a-peel in 2004.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm voting for Gary Coleman.

Dr-Electro
07-10-2003, 03:41 AM
Gary would be better than Rick Perry, wouldn't he?

We can't vote in California's election. They frown on Texans voting in their state, the big dummies!

hahaha, yeah, damn California.

Hell, I'll run for governor in California one day, I'll show all those midget bodybuilder porn star candidates who's the boss.

Notice how all these women came out with their allegations only recently? Didn't they report it to the police that they were groped by Scwhartzeneggar? Probably not- they must of enjoyed getting boned by a meat head.

Aah, from what I've heard, Jerry Springer is going for either Ohio Govenor or Florida Gov. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Shit, Californians are REALLY taking a gamble here. Arnold will make it the tit touching capital of the world. Hahaha... hopes he does things right.

Bloody Schwarzenegger. Just because he's been in a few successful movies people instantly recognize his face, and for some inexplicable reason think that they know him. So they elect him. I bet anyone could win an election - just do something to get the public's attention, then lay down your propaganda. :weebl:

Dr-Electro

It either doesn't matter to the maority of Californians or they refused to believe the tripe. I hope the media finds something else to bore us with for a few weeks. I'm honestly tired of hearing about Arnold and California politics.

Mexican Pie

And did you ever notice how when one woman makes an accusation, that 15 other women speak out and say that they too were harassed or even RAPED by (whichever) celebrity? I think it's just for the media attention they recieve, not to mention the money they probably get for selling their story to tabloids! That is wrong to do that, they are humans just like we are, but society just eats it up and believes whatever they say!

God, the media is so gullible. I'll tell them that the moon is made from green cheese, and they'll believe me... hopefully.

Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. Thats practically all there is too it. And everyone wants to make a quick buk now days... why is that??? Hard work is what gets people through life. People are too caught up in instant Lotto thingies. I think the chances of winning a high priced lottery is like getting struck by thunder in a Submarine. A COLINS CLASS Submarine.

CC Submarines are the biggest pieces of shit for Subs- get good old Nuclear Powered ones. Or a Solar one. With mesh screening inside for windows:P.

I can just see Pinkerbell and Mexican Pie as a rape-trial jury.

"if she didn't want to get raped she shouldn't wear short skirts"

seriously you two sound fucking terrible.

they didn't report it at the time because no-one's gonna believe some "nobody" over a celebrity. then one woman has the guts to step forward and the other's see it's safe to tell the world what happened.

think first please.

Nor have we seen a feeding frenzy among the attorneys. Those sharks converge when they smell blood. In this instance, they only smell red herrings.

So the only way we can know this is if we stalk celebrities and beat them with Night Clubs when they grope people- that'll show them who's boss... Well not really.

Pretty impossible to find out, unless they all take lie detector tests. Then we'll know.

Govenor Arnold Schwartzeneggar.

Or as Arnie would say it:
GOVUNEERARNELDSCHATZENEGGIR!

Hmmm, in his homeland, just imagine what his dream would have been in his words as a child:

UNEDEYIWILBEZEGOVERAROFKALIFORNIA!

Translated: One day I will be the Governor of California!

Lol, funny shit on Conan O Brien. Or Brian. Stuff it.

Dr-Electro

Conan is a nut. I hardly ever stay up late enough to watch him, but I always get a laugh or twelve.

How soon does Deutsche become the official language of Kalifornia?:D

I tell you only in america could a 55 year old austrian action star become a leading figure in politics! (well maybe except for italy where they have a former porn star in government)
