I'm pretty sure that MMORPG stands for "massively multiplayer online role playing game" or something of the sort.

I've played a few RPG video games... like chrono trigger. Which is just awesome. No doubt about it. Haven't won it yet though, nearly there. ^^

Love RPG's, but I hate online or computer RPG's. With a group of people getting together to play face to face, you have two huge advantages:
1. If it is a game that is usually face to face, and you are going through the computer, you are slowed down by having to type in " I do this, I do that " etc. Also, there is no acting, facial expressions, or voice accents involved. Alot of the game is lost.

2. If it is a computer based game like Final Fantasy, you are SO LIMITED in what you can do. You can't grab that annoying computer character and stuff an old fish down his pants. Hell, if you are playing a thief, you probably can't even go back to his shop at night and rob him silly, like any good thief would.

at the beginning of this thread ppl were wondering what MMORPG's are. Massive multi is the key to it all. Here you're talking about Starcraft, Diablo II, Warcraft, Now even the console wars are begining. The Xbox of coarse is setting the stage for the rest of what will follow with XboxLive out right now, I mean, Mechassault was pretty cool in itself, but Halo2 coming up is said to host 32 players at a time!

He is right, what if we don't exist? What if we are all enslaved by a race of robots created by us but now enslaving us and stealing our minds? What if this is all a dream? Three words for ya, the red pill. Free more minds by clicking here (http://www.thematrix.com)

If you want to be involved in taking over all online RPGs and MMORPGs then clickhere (http://www.freewebs.com/lordhorde) :nana:

ummm. Even the greatest foul losers of teh universe know WHAT at least, WHAT EQ is... however. Everquest, is pretty crap (IN MY OPINIO) Don't take offense, but they arent the greatest SNES graphics in the world ya know. It buggs me jsut to look at it. You want a great MMORPG, Diablo 2.

I play a fun anime style MMORPG called Ragnarok Online.
It was origionally made in beta, where the game was free, but since the international version called iRO came out it has gone pay to play, and costs a hell of a lot of money.

When i found out how much money it cost to play on that server, I went for private servers, like LiquidRO, which have less users on, but are free unless stated for a registration fee.

Check out the website here (http://ragnarokonline.com) !

There is also an RPG Maker 2003, but I can't find anywhere to download it. My brother, who downloaded the 2k version, says that there is something called an rtp, which mustr also be downloaded for it to work

Thanks, but the first link didn't work, it just lead to a page full of nonsense. I am posting this while downloading it from the second link.

I entered a speaking contest with a speech on "Evercrack" and addictive online games in general and got to the final...

I used to play UO 24/7. I stopped a few years ago as I was too addicted. I played on DeusOvis, a nifty little free shard.

And for normal RPG's Baldur's Gate II and Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is all you need to know.

I have the first Baldur's Gate. That was pretty good. Too bad the furthest I've gotten was only to chapter IV. Then I get stuck.
