This is the thread for all things related to the WSU BA in Football Management.
The staff member in charge of this course is Professor AngryPaul. Like all our other staff, he is an expert in his field and has dedicated much of his life to the study of effective Football Management.
The course, like all others, will be done over a period of Six Weeks. During these Six Weeks you will be required to complete Twelve Tasks. These tasks are as follows:
Week 1:
Task 1: Complete Football Trivia exam. Proof Required: Send completed quiz to [murray] via PM.
Task 2: Start a new game on any version of Football Manager with an English non-league side of your Choice. Proof Required: Screenshot of new game in thread.
Week 2:
Task 1: Complete Badges and Kits quiz. Proof Required: Send completed quiz to [murray] via PM.
Task 2: Sign a player on loan with a value of at least £100k. Proof Required: Screenshot in thread.
Week 3:
Task 1: Attend a non-league game in support of your nearest local team. They can be ANY LEVEL as long as they are not higher in the system than the Blue Square Premier. If it is not possible to do that in this week, this task can be performed at ANY POINT during the degree course. Proof Required: Photograph of you at the game posted in thread.
Task 2: Win 10 league games with your new club by the end of the week. Proof Required: Screenshot in thread.
Week 4:
Task 1: Start a thread in Sports and Bets relating to anything you like. It could be about your local team, your favourite team, a different sport, anything, as long as it is relevant and contributes something to the forum. Proof Required: Link to new thread in here.
Task 2: Progress to at least the First Round of the FA Cup. Proof Required: Screenshot in thread.
Week 5:
Task 1: Start a football based competition thread. This can be a quiz, or anything else you can think of. Proof Required: Link to new thread in here.
Task 2: Go one month without losing a league match. Proof Required: Screenshot in thread.
Week 6:
Task 1: Write a short essay (something like 500-1000 words) on your chosen non-league team for the FM anonymous thread. The essay should include a brief history and should attempt to encourage others to choose that club in the future. Proof Required: Post in thread.
Task 2: Successfully achieve promotion to the next division with your club. Proof Required: Screenshot in thread.
There is one difference with this degree to the others. Because of the rather lengthy nature of playing a season of FM and not necessarily having the same time to play every week, you can complete the FM based tasks whenever, as long as you post the proof in the appropriate week. Also, the Non-League football task simply may not be possible for some in that week, so can be done at any point.
Like all the other degrees You will need to successfully complete 8 tasks to get a basic degree, 9 tasks to achieve a Second Class (Lower), 10 to achieve a Second Class (Higher), 11 to achieve a First Class, and the full 12 in order to get a First Class Honours. The Faculty's decision on your successful completion of a challenge is final.
Enrolment for the above course has now begun! If you wish to take this course, please sign up now in this thread. This thread will be where all things related to this course will be posted, including the proof that you have completed tasks.
