I read that a new Kevin Costner film is being made, called Taming Ben Taylor. I cannot stress how important this is to me, because that's my name.

Anyone else been victim to coincidence and name-checked in a film?

No. You try making a film with Ben Magill in the title. Not exactly catchy.

I, Damien O'Donnell, have been the director of the odd film, if that counts. I was pretty astounded when I first found out, since that won't be a common name. Seeing your own name in a trailer in the cinema gives you a weird feeling, unless you're called John Smith and are used to seeing your name on everything including pints of beer.

I was in a BBC Film called Romeo Brass...and no, that aint my name...mines worse...but it wasn't just me, our whole school was filmed for it so it aint that important...but i aint seen it so i don't know if it was used...

it was a bit crazy, we had to start singing 'the lord is my shepard' and then we had to get up and do loads of weird dancing...it was complete pance...so, alas, i wasnt exactly in a film, i was only an extra out of bout 500 kids, and it aint even a popular film, or blockbuster...oh well...but i have been on the news!

My step bros name appeared in the credits when i completed Croc on PSX though, Jason Smith...too common me thinks!
