nice
I need to get the new dangermouse and jemini cd on the new lex records.
lex are one record label Im definatly keeping an eye on :)
gotta get me Deltron 3030 aswell, tis too good.
Dead Prez... I'm quite keen on their stuff.
@ Cadex, that Danger Mouse and Jemini album is one of the best records released this year, you won't be dissapointed. Also watch out for the "non prophets" album dropping on Lex records soon, it's Sage Francis with some other guys and I heard some good things about that album.
And Deltron is a classic, no weak cuts, just a little too many skits and a little too less songs
@Garg, Dead Prez is cool. Especially "let's get free" was a good album
I had both their albums (to my knowledge there was only two).
But my computer crashed.
Now I have bugger all!
I may have to cry now.

i like some hip hop such as dj format, beastie boys, jurassic 5, dizzee rascal, deltron 3030, handsome boy modelling school, dr octagon, roots manuva, antipop consortium...
Deltron 3030 has to be one of the best albums i own or have heard ever. I also like Roots Manuva, Edan, RJD2 and a load more people have already mentioned. What i dont like is people such as Nelly, Usher and generally mainstream artists like that who call themselves Hip-Hop. They should be so ashamed

Anybody heard the new Outkast album yet? It's a double CD, the first CD is Big Boy on some bouncy southside goodness. And the second CD is Andre with weird songs and beats. It's their way of doing their own thing without breaking up, and I must say it sounds very refreshing

Not technically hip hop but I've got my UNKLE cd on today, man this CD kicks so much ass. I know you hip hop heads must love it too ;)
I think UNKLE is hip hop.
Anyway, people worry too much about the 'genre' labels n begin to forget about the music.
Right now I am loving DJ Shadow
Blackalicious
Fingathing
Roots Manuva
Herbalizer
Hextatic
TTC
Handsome Boy Modelling School
& anything Cadex listens to is class ;)

I still remember the first time I heard "ug" (the tune in weebl and bobs first ep) on Xen Cuts.
in my friends room, sitting on his bed, quite high.
ug comes on, we both look at each other and bop away.
I highly recomend Xen Cuts (http://www.ninjatune.net/ninja/release.php?id=154) to anyone, especialy if you liked some of tunes weebl used in W&B.
also, someone please buy the new Solid Steel mix cd, its Herbalisers time baby! ( http://www.ninjatune.net/home/ )
on my way back from MPD's house I was loving TTC.
gonne be checking out more of their stuff, highly recomend it.
Xen cuts, very nice indeed.
And Unkle, well, I wouldn't call it hiphop. But it's good, well the first album was, I haven't heard the new one yet

I think its down to personal interpratation on this one.
The only songs on that album that dont seem hip hop (or don't contain elements of hip hop) to me is chaos & nursery rhyme.
All the other songs have either sampling, scratching (or some turntable manipulation), a hip hop beat or some mc-ing, or they have all of the above, hence me feeling like it was more of a hip hop album than anything else.
Id like to know what any other UNKLE fans think. :)

Strictly old-school, and Necro (although he has no flow at all.)
And Tupac. Tupac was and is the best.
I just got the new SOUL POSITION LP, it's called 8 million stories. And I think a lot of real hiphopfans should get exited by it as it's completely produced by RJD2 (but the real fans already heard last year's EP so they know what they can expect)
HOLY SHIT, ANOTHER TUPAC FAN!
Necro - Underground is class. Gotta love the Bee Gees sample :D

sounds good
found a site with some previews ( http://www.sandboxautomatic.com/abstract/6591235107.html ) needs realplayer though.
bufo, have you heard much Quasimoto?
I've heard the "Unseen" LP and a couple of tracks off the Madvillain project (Madlib & MF Doom) he's on there too
I just love Madlib's dusty, jazzy sound. I'm a great Stones Throw fan
Cage r good, underground stuff...
dont know if they have been mentioned yet, but if not enjoy

I love madlib, and stones throw for that matter.
The Unseen is still one of my favourite albums, definatly.
I was getting stoned quite a bit last year and listening to that album all the time. well, that and Squarepusher - Go Plastic.
havn't heard Madvillian, sounds worth checking out, mf doom n madlib :) nice
Madvillain will be released at the beginning of next year, or the end of this year. But on the internet there's already a version downloadable.........I wouldn't do that however:D

In the world of hip hop there are many artists 50cent, eminem, snoop dogg, busta rhyms, 2pac, and more...
I wanna know what is your favorite song, artist, and why you like the song.
My favorite song is probably is 21 questions by 50 cuz it is such a moving song and it makes me think a lot. Another reason i like it is that it relaxes me when im angry or pissed off. Also it reminds me of my girlfriend. lol.
So tell me all your songs and artists. And make it interesting and imaginative.

most of that stuff hardly passes as music. The only artist that can really say has any point to his lyrics is eminem, and even then it's all bitching and whining about himself.
I hate these bands, and I hate the way the media focuses in on them and all the stupid little kids form groups about the bands and try to become these people by dressing up and acting like them.
Edit: w00t I managed to merge threads!
Holy shit, I didnt see ReAction say that 2pac has no point to his lyrics. You obviously havent been listening to them!
Read these and then try and tell me they have no point: http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/2_pac/2pclypse/brenda.2pc.txt
Eminem has no point to his lyrics, don't confuse a whine with a rhyme. (Oh the irony)
