HAHA Ok my thread is for you to post pics of Weapons you keep at home, Gums, swords, Archery kit etc.

Weapons.... Yes..... Bad....... Yes......... Kills people.........Yes......... But you just cant help loving using them.

I have a few Medievil Broad swords, i just love to set up targets and hack and slash them to pieces!!

A pair of nunchaka(nothing wrong with them :twisted: )
I also have two awful BB guns which I never touch.
My friends think I have an arsenal (not football team, weapons, although I spelt it wrong)

much woodworking stuff
Mora swedish tarining knife
and good old trusty kitchen knives.
...and then we go into the shed, which has loads of blacksmithing/mechanical implements, most of which I don't know the names for.

What's the need in large amounts of weaponry that you could never legally use? I don't understand the appeal... but maybe that's just me. It has been said that even if you don't give little boys toy guns etc., they will fashoin their own crude toy weapons...

I can see why people would have one or two but why a whole artillery?...especially when people generally get new weapons (which look much uglier and have no real value)

Actually I can legally use all of those exept for the .22 rifle, and that's broken.
The only ones that are mine are the flatbow(which I use for target shooting only), the tonfa, shinai, bokken and staff (which are all made from wood, and are martial arts training weapons. Handy, what with me practicing Aikido, Kung fu etc.). Oh, and the training knife, and that's for woodlore stuff, like carving, splitting, lighting fires etc.

The rest of it's jsut accumulatd over te years, from my dad's boyhood and the fact that we have a couple of fields and a wood to manage. We sound rich. We're really not.

Oh, another point: I'm completely opposed to hurting people in any way. I only use any of these things in either a creative way (e.g making my bass guitar) or for physical recreation.

Monkey magic- do you really want gun laws like america? You should watch Bowling for Columbine. They have around 11,300 gun deaths a year, where nearly all other developed nations have about 50, or at most 150.

The only possible use of a handgun or automatic weapon is to kill someone. It can't be physical recreation (after all, you just point and shoot), they're useless for hunting (and if hunting's your thing, you can get a rifle license, but only if you're deemed responsible and safe enough not to kill anyone with it). The only thing they're good for is murder.

Anyone who takes a light attitude to killing is either mentally unstable, or hasn't thought about what it really is. Lecture over

Hmmm. Proof that boys make there own weapons.

The top three things are various hacking/bashing devices i found about our place. The bottom one is a bit of a bedframe I made a handle wrap for. Its very nasty as a throwing weapon.

The Elvish Dagger is just a costume blade, which I why I bought it. Theyt don't allow real blades in our Ren Fest.

The jagged sword is silly, and my sisters.

The long thing is the midde is a favorite of mine. Its a short pole-arm I made from a gardening tool handle and a Machette blade. Its very very fast and powerful.

The Staff is a Nifty Root-staff I found in my woods. its great for walking about, and makes a nasty cudgle. Also light and quick to swing.

The Dew bottle is actually a BOMB. Heh, no, its just there for reference.

seriously though my friend made a pair of nunchucks using stunt pegs and conventional chain..

he lay the chain out flat and threaded both ends through the stunt pegs, so it looked like a stunted skipping rope, then he used two link rings to hold the chains in place. wicked...looked a bit like this

where the asterisks are is where you need to put the keyring links :cool: so that when you use them the chain doesnt come out

Actually id prefer to use a nodachi, which is a slightly different style of sword to the katana iirc. I didnt specify because people wouldnt have know what i meant.

Very nice... I do so love my 1894 Mosin-Nagant, its in less than mint condition, but its alot of fun to shoot. Well, it is at least until the recoil and the metal butt-plate kick in *ick*, not to mention the $40 for a 20 round box of ammo *sigh* Also just recently purchased a replica of a lever-action Winchester 1866 .45 LC, which is most terrific :) Next on me list is an M1 Garand ;)

I have one. I got it at an army surplus place in Arizona one year. And my hand grenade that I can be seen holding in the Ninja pics thread in Besterest. (Too lazy to link)
