Did you just take the win money and times it by 3 so it would give the winnings for 30 rupies? (bit in italics here... Celtic win: 4/6 (£10 bet returns £16)
It should be 50 ;)

I'm going against the odds this week:

15 on Villareal
35 on Chelsea

My reasoning: Arsenal is on a bit of a "dry streak" (that dafty loss) and even though i like celtic, the fact that betting 15 gives me 63 back is very promising to me :D)

clicky (http://www.ladbrokes.com/betCalculator/betCalc.swf) Thats much easier than me doing silly maths, like tyring to divide 6 to make a 10

The Game Has Started!

It's still 0-0 and pretty even but unfortunately, I'd have to say that Arsenal are slightly dominating:(

Still 0-0 in 40th minute.

Come on Chelsea!

I think that it is very tight at the moment. Arsenal look most likely to score (again) but Chelsea's game plan is good. They have hassled them in midfield and it is working. With Stevie G playing with Didi, we should be able to beat them this friday.

mmmm that f*cking stupid referee sucked...

That red card...The deportivo guy kicked him because they were friends..He said "c'mon get up" laughing and when he turned there was the stupid refereee giving him a red card..

I saw one that the keeper kicked some guy to stop a goal and the referee helped the keeper get up and while he was getting up showed him the card i laughed my ass off.

Hmm who would expect the nigerian laidezz to win?

I wansn't counting on two draws either

BigEgg
24-04-2004, 07:43 PM
Yeah, I think this may be Button's race, Schuey was pushing it hard to try and beat the time and that is why he fargled going into the final sector.

Also, what the hell is going on with McLaren! Seems the square-headed Scot and the silent Finn are losing it a bit, one comes into the pit with engine troubles and the other end up in eighth after locking it going into the final chicane.

Sunday 25th April 2004

Formula One: Winner for the San Marino Grand Prix

Below is the list of drivers for tomorrow's Grand Prix....
Jenson Button is on pole position...

M. Schumacher: 8/11 (£10 bet returns £17)
J. Button: 9/4 (£10 bet returns £33)
JP. Montoya: 11/4 (£10 bet returns £38)
R. Barrichello: 6/2 (£10 bet returns £40)
R. Schumacher: 12/2 (£10 bet returns £70)
F. Alonso: 16/1 (£10 bet returns £170)
J. Trulli: 40/1 (£10 bet returns £410)
T. Sato: 40/1 (£10 bet returns £410)
K. Raikkonen: 50/1 (£10 bet returns £510)
M. Webber: 80/1 (£10 bet returns £810)
D. Coulthard: 100/1 (£10 bet returns £1010)
C. Da Matta: 150/1 (£10 bet returns £1510)
F. Massa: 150/1 (£10 bet returns £1510)
O. Panis: 250/1 (£10 bet returns £2510)
C. Klien: 300/1 (£10 bet returns £3010)
G. Fisichella: 500/1 (£10 bet returns £5010)
N. Heidfied: 500/1 (£10 bet returns £5010)
G. Pantano: 750/1 (£10 bet returns £7510)
G. Bruni: 1000/1 (£10 bet returns £10010)
Z. Baumgartner: 1000/1 (£10 bet returns £10010)

If someone like streety sees a mistake with return rates then say so because I'm not too good at these calculations.

BigEgg
24-04-2004, 09:51 PM
Now I am sorely tempted to have a fiver on Baumgartner as comedy potential abounds there.

Race-off is at 1pm this afternoon. Forecast is for rain, so it's lookign good for Schumacher, but I'll have £10 on Button and £10 on Alonso. Those odds are looking good. :D

Schumacher winning a race by ten seconds after nearly two hours of hell-for-leather racing is hardly one-sided. Everyone just looks at the results and thinks it's predictable, but if you sit it through then you realize that his advantage isn't so big - he just gets lucky. :weebl:

I don't know how you can say that it comes down to luck.
I think that it comes down to the fastest reliable car. Other teams are catching up but it will be a while til Shumacher gets knocked off the top.

Cap'n Zola
26-04-2004, 07:44 PM
You can't really say that he's gotten lucky for what? The past 4 years or something. 4 whole years of getting lucky? When it'd obvious that Ferrari make the best engine with the best stop-start speed rate, thingy!

And you can't say it's not predictable either but thankfully the big cheeses of F1 are trying to minimize all that and make it more about whos the better driver.

I doubt there will be more F1 bets too though.

FT: Romania 5 - 1 Germany

FT: Denmark 1 - 0 Scotland

HT: Italy 0 - 0 Spain

Also I have an idea for an 'in-thread' lottery. People are charged £10 to enter and the winner, picked at random, recieves the total pot as a free bet.

(IE: 4 people enter = £40 free bet for winner)

What do you think? Can be done Weekly or Bi-Weekly.

I would probably make it "in thread" so the regular's would see it. I would just give the option for other sports bets cos' not everyone likes football. I think I have enough rupies to pay out returns.

Romania result was a bit of a shocker eh? We knew they were better than Germany, but bloody hell?

I watched the Denmark - Scotland game and don't worry, Dingbat, for once, we didn't play half-bad though they deserved the win :/

Well done to Streety and his £50 bet on denmark :/

Thanks for your support mate.
I am not trying to be disrepectful to AP. We just didn't agree when it came down to running it. I won't be stealing bets from him. ie: Allowing bets for the same matches. I will just be giving people an alternative. It also gives the oppurtunity for AP to make some bets and take part.
