Anyways, punching trout, it's good, but you need to makle it faster by shortening the frame length or just adding less frames. Also, when the guy who dies dies, as he falls, try to make sure he falls smoothly in every frame (move him down about the same amoutn in each frame). Of course, with practice, you'll improve, so I suggest make more! Good start!

(This post was made in the assumption that that was your fist Pivot. If not, whatever.)

If I could suggest one thing...it looks quite strange with the gun sticking out so much. If you can, pull it in a bit, as most tanks I've seen have the main part of the gun over the body. Or whatever.

2.96mb for 659 frames? Try shrinking the frame size. My Transformers Pivot was 1200 frames and was only 400k. If you reduced the actual dimensions when saving it the filesize will be a lot smaller.

When saving otherwise say that you want it like 0.3 of the size, it'll probably be a lot smaller then too, you don't really need it any bigger than... say 200x200 maybe if that? I mean this one's a lot smaller

Ok, the movie has been resized and is uploading now. When you watch this keep in mind this is not how I wanted you to see it (Wow, I feel like Quentin Tarentino, which is funny because it is a lot like Kill Bill), and that this is my first proper attempt.

I plan to have a second attempt, when I will put in small stuff like blood and dirt.

Yes, they don't really go with the animation, and are a bit pointless. They almost say "I can't be bothered to make him jump and fall".

It'd have looked better without them, imo. But a good Pivot nonetheless with a stick your not used to, even if it is a little short. Although, like me, you seem to be better at short ones.

Tis one of my smoothest, and after Transformers is the one with the most experimental effects. Have a glance at the bullet trails, the '?' watermark the mark leaves behind and the rather smooth animation. Also, I think it's some of my best human-like movement yet. One of my best yet I think.

I recommend you let it load for a minute then press reload to see it at it's proper speed.

EDIT: Once again the colour has messed up. I'm not happy.

From now on I will post zip files with the pivot animation file in them. I don't care if someone eBaums them (steals them and claims them as there own), all this hosting stuff and people editing without my knowledge has driven me to insanity.

Perhaps it has something to do with the 'merge' option when saving?

Or you can just make the bottom-left pixel flash by using a figure, placed so it has one pixel in the bottom left corner of the animation showing, that you delete every other frame.

It takes far too long, but it seems to work...

A few tips on your pivot:

1) The floor seems to be very inconsistent. I recommend you have a background, it helps you remember where you had the character leave the ground.
2) The legs look to have special levitating powers. Move the arms, torso and legs in the same frame to create a smoother more realistic look.
3) Add some props. It's kind of bland at the moment.

Don't worry it gets easier as you get used to it.

A couple of tips on your posting.

1) Use proper english. If you don't you won't last a week here. People are very fussy about that.
2) Stay in beginners for a while until you adjust to the tone of these forums.

Follow these tips and you will go far.

Also, try and invent some new ideas. The number of pivots that are just 'guy whack other guy'...

Though it's a good start. If you think this is a lot of critisism, then think of it this way: if you follow the tips, then you can only improve. And hey, you've got to start somewhere!

After seeing everyone making a fuss about sound in Pivots, I gave it a shot.
And it came out...ok.
It took a while to do everything, but it worked out OK in the end. I'll stick with plain old animation for now, but should I ever feel that there's any animations which could do with a bit of sound, I'll stick 'em on here and on the Pivot Forum.

Site's on the way with it, and it's nearly ready. I'll post it when it's ready.

Where to begin....
I recommend you use more frames, that one seemed a bit rushed. More frames will leads to a smoother animation.
Try to think of something other than fighting. I did it to death, everyone did it to death.
2 hours is nothing. If you thinks that's long you would faint at some of the times I've put in. I guarentee everyone here has made a pivot that took at least 1 hour.

Overall it's an improvement, I think you will end up producing some of the greatest on these forums if you keep at it.

It's reasonably good, but it's a bit too fast. Slow it down a bit when saving and it'd be a lot better. Some bits are too fast to actually see.

oh well. Here's some ideas 5 to be exact.

*Arms make up the pipes at the cab
*Legs and make up the rear section including wheels
*Rest of body used as back
*The Transformer is made up of 3 areas: the front (including head), the arms (including front wheel) and the legs. All have to be moved independantly to achieve a movement.
