The Scottish Football Thread [warning - contains Old Firm]

OK, this may turn into a thread full of vile, filthy bigotry, but I don't think that Cap'n Zola will be on for a while. Only joking. This is the thread for any supporters of Scottish football, such as myself, a lifelong Rangers supporter, Twig, a lifelong Celtic fan, and others. Anti -Scottish Football posts will not be tolerated and a flaming license will immediately be issued.

So - Who will win the Old Firm Derby? Will Inverness or Clyde be promoted? Who will be penalised next year for going into/being in administration? What about the Hibs job? Who will get the Scottish Cup? And will McLeish or O'Neill leave/be sacked first?

And of course, we all know the season is ending soon, but what about all the transfer gossip? Will Nacho Novo quit the Dees for the Gers? Will David Fernandez return to Celtic or stay on at Livvy? Where will Stevie Crawford go? And what will happen to Livingston's other players?

Then there's the biggest question of them all - what about the National Team?

Hours of fun to be had here

Wow! Nice thread [bar the snide comments about me]!

Hmm....I reckon first to be discussed is the Old Firm, seeing as it is this afternoon! Doubt anyone else will be in for a while but Celtic will pwn anyway!

Rangers have defence problems, problems keeping possesion, problems attacking and problems in goals

They have no squad depth either.

Oh and £70,000,000 debt. Let's just change this to the "Everything wrong with Rangers Thread" Only kidding!

Celtic will dominate and that's not my biased side talking!

Interesting topic to discuss will be transfers, especially with Old Firm with Larsson leaving Celtic and Rangers trying to get even more players despite all their debts.

Bah. Cheats.

Celtic 1 (Sutton 89) Rangers 0

Sutton blatantly pushed Frank de Boer over as he was going for goal!

Admittedly they had more possession, but we didn't play so badly and Thompson could have scored. I had to laugh at Larsson missing that open goal though

I was always in the bag. S'why I watched the Chelsea - Man U game

We were winning for 70 minutes of the game. :/

Very good game. My dad told me that Sutton scored in last minute, I knew we'd win

Does anyone know any confirmations on who the Old Firm are buying? Like Francis Jeffers (and his bro), etc. have all been linked to the clubs but does anyone know any transfers for definite?

£275,000 - Nacho Novo - Dundee to Rangers
£0 - Alex Rae - Wolverhampton Wanderers to Rangers
£0 - Jean-Alain Boumsong - Auxerre to Rangers
£0 - Marvin Andrews - Livingston to Rangers

You're supposed to be getting Rivaldo, as are we Dado Prso.

Well Rangers are going to have even more debt added then...

Rivaldo and Prso? Heh. I somehow doubt that they'd come up here. Why would anyone come up here to play football? Especially someone like Rivaldo!

Celtic are reportedly going to forego cutting their wage bill when Larsson leaves, and offer Rivaldo £40,000 a week.

Silly move methinks.

He's an idiot. Not even a very good player these days, but he is the Rangers captain and shouldn't be going around saying things like that.

Hopefully we'll keep Frank de Boer on now as captain if we do sell Moore - but time will tell.

I doubt that happening

Would you want him? Do you need him?

Maybe it could be a "he left for better football, look where he ended up" to Rangers?

Woops

Ah well, I also heard he was off to Rangers.

I think that now Celtic have done well in europe enough to lure a world-class talent to replace Larson

What news on Rivaldo? I'd pick Celtic over Bolton anyday
