Horray for the CFL

My big cousin is a full back for the Calgary Stampeders so its been required that I become a fan of footall!

To be fair its a fun game and tail gating is a great party that no one else but football fans do right!

I love American football. I think it puts all other sports to shame. My favorite team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brett Favre's good, but his team sucks. Of course I'm a bit biased, but I think you can't go wrong with Brad Johnson.

Well to be fair...Twas the English who first called football "football"... see it's just a shortened version of it's proper name - Assosciation Football...

Although I do find it rather silly how american football is called football even though they're only allowed to use their feet for running (obviously) and for punts. Whereas our football (or football) is all about feetwork!

Back to the topic - I am a bit of a fan of american football and the European version. I used to watch it regulary on Sky Sports but they seem to have stopped showing it as much, I think.

But I support the Scotland Claymores and in the NFL - I support the Philly Eagles and the Titans...I support Philly in all sports though because they rawk!

I live in the US and I can't stand football. it takes no endurance whatsoever. the average play only lasts 10 seconds. ten seconds of jogging. whereas the real football is 45 minutes of almost non stop running. also, if you get knocked to the ground in football/football, you are outta luck with pads as you only have 2 small one on your shins (which was only invented when AIDS became popular to mop up blood. fact for those who care)

football you have to run all the way into the endzone for 6 points? wtf? 6? okay, whatever. football you can bomb long shots, or take them from as close as the goal area.

football is also way too linear. one team gets the ball, moves it down the field. the other gets the ball, moves it down the field. the entire game. hardly and use for going backwads or sideways.

thats my opinion

The soundtrack to madden2004 is awesome, ive been looking for mayhem-john madden remix to buy.

i play rugby for a team, and sometimes yankeefootball for a laugh and I can see the appeal of it, it is interesting to see how plays work out, and the superbowl is undeniably exciting to watch.

Go that rugby
