MSN Problems - Sign in/out all the time?

Ive had alot of problems with my MSN Messenger lately...

I cant decide whether it is my ISP or my PC that is bugging it up.

For a while now, alot of my messages havent been sent to my friends.... and vice versa (But only to me, so I know its MY problem and not everyone elses).

Recently, not only has it not been sending and receiving messages properly, but its also started to randomly sign in and out...
Which makes me question my Internet provider.

What makes me think 'Nahh, its not my ISP' would be the fact that I play alot of online gaming. Ping is fine, FPS is fine... everything is fine, no cutting off, no lag.
Nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

Also, I have reinstalled MSN bunches of times.... and I have tried the 7.0 beta, but always go back to 6.2 because 7.0 seems to make things far worse and all the features annoy me

Ive tried rebooting my router and turning all my networks off then on again to see if that is what is messing up my connection.. No luck.

I sometimes, but quite rarely, get signed out automatically, but this is only because my internet buggers up. Try posting your internet details e.g 256Mb etc on here and hopefully someone can help you

Might be a little obvious. But you could just reinstall it (even if it does mean using msn 7 or whatever there onto now).

Ps everyones msn sign out at random called DC.

Haha, I thought you were serious for a second!

Thanks MP, I tried those websites.... Ive taken off the Norton Protection for Messenger (I recently installed 2003 version... could have been the problem!), so we will see if that does anything

... and for Thomp:

My setup is a Router which is connected to my PC directly (Even tho a wireless network is throughout my house for my brothers). Since the router and wireless box are in my room, I just hook it straight in and dont bother with the network.

I have BT Openworld 512k... anddd..... thats about it as far as my net is concerned!

Thanks a bunch!
